Dental Care for Local 183 and Local 506 Members
Local 183 and Local 506 are the two most common union plans we see at Tinto Dentistry. Both cover members, spouses, and eligible dependents for preventive, restorative, surgical, and in some cases implant-related treatment.
Every plan has its own rules, maximums, and eligibility requirements. Bring your member benefit card and any plan information to your appointment. We review your options before starting any treatment.
Local 183 Familiarity
We see Local 183 members regularly. Our team knows how to navigate the plan’s rules for routine care, major treatment, and implants.
Local 506 Familiarity
Local 506 members and eligible dependents can use their benefits here for cleanings, exams, fillings, crowns, extractions, dentures, and implant consultations.
Clear Treatment Planning
Before treatment starts, we estimate coverage, explain the sequence, and flag when pre-determination is needed.

Implant Coverage: What Local 183 Members Should Know
Implant treatment needs careful review under Local 183 benefits. Implants have two stages — surgical and restorative — and plans often treat these differently from routine services.
Based on the 2026 Local 183 Industrial Division benefit booklet, implant treatment may be subject to the following:
- First installation may be covered when the natural tooth was extracted while insured under the Local 183 Members Benefit Fund.
- Replacement of an existing implant crown may be considered only when the previous crown was placed at least 5 years earlier and cannot be made serviceable.
- Claims may be reimbursed in two portions: one when the surgical stage is complete, the remainder when the crown is placed.
- A separate implant maximum of $7,500 every 5 years per individual may apply under the 2026 Industrial Division booklet.
- This maximum may be separate from the regular dental maximum — confirm against your exact plan and division before starting treatment.
We plan implant treatment step by step: exam, imaging, a review of tooth replacement options, a treatment estimate, and any required benefit confirmation before moving forward.
