GreenShield Dental
in Toronto
Serving GreenShield members in Corso Italia, St. Clair West, and surrounding Toronto neighbourhoods
If you have GreenShield dental coverage through work, school, a union, or a group benefits plan, we can help you understand what’s covered before treatment begins. We offer direct billing where available and a clear estimate of your expected costs.
How We Help With Your GreenShield Coverage
Annual maximums, frequency limits, waiting periods, co-payments, predeterminations, and treatment categories all affect what you owe. Our front desk team explains your coverage before you sit in the chair.
- Look up your GreenShield benefits using your insurance information
- Provide a treatment estimate with your expected share of costs
- Submit predeterminations for larger treatments like crowns, bridges, implants, or Invisalign
- Coordinate benefits if you have coverage under two plans

Benefits Check
We look up your GreenShield coverage before your appointment so you know your expected costs before treatment starts.
Direct Billing
Where your plan allows, we submit claims directly to GreenShield. You pay your estimated portion at the visit.
Predetermination
For crowns, bridges, implants, or orthodontics, we submit a predetermination so GreenShield confirms coverage before you commit to treatment.

GreenShield Benefits for TTC and City of Toronto Employees
TTC and City of Toronto employees are among the most common GreenShield members we see at Tinto Dentistry. Because every plan varies by employer, union agreement, and benefits tier, our front desk reviews your coverage and submits estimates before treatment whenever possible.
TTC employees may have coverage for dental cleanings up to four times per year, 100% basic dental coverage (x-rays, fillings, root canals, extractions), approximately 50% coverage for major dental work, some implant coverage, and orthodontic coverage at around 50%.
City of Toronto employees may have coverage for cleanings up to four times per year, 100% basic dental coverage for fillings, root canals, and extractions, and coverage toward crowns and some implant-related treatment.
Coverage varies by your specific employer agreement. We confirm details before treatment.
