Invisalign in Toronto

A clear, comfortable, and customized journey to a smile you’ve always envisioned!

About Invisalign

An alternative to traditional metal braces, Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment that gradually straightens teeth using clear, removable aligners. We provide Invisalign for adults, helping patients achieve the smile they’ve always wanted. Invisalign also helps correct dental problems such as crowding, overbites and underbites. This is a more aesthetic option compared to traditional braces, and uses clear aligners to maneuver teeth into place over time. The Tinto Dentistry team provides Invisalign in Toronto using the iTero digital scanner and is among a select list of Invisalign dentists providing these services. Invisalign is just one of the many cosmetic dentistry services in St Clair we offer — from veneers to dental bonding — to help you achieve your ideal smile.

Still have questions?

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a modern orthodontic treatment that uses clear, custom-made  removable trays that are slightly different from the position of the teeth to slowly and safely shift teeth into the desired position. This is different than traditional metal braces that use wires and brackets to move teeth into an ideal position.

How does the Invisalign process function?

The Invisalign process begins with a consultation where Dr. Tinto will assess your dental alignment. If Invisalign is suitable for you, the will take digital impressions of your teeth. These impressions are used to create a 3D model, allowing Dr. Tinto to meticulously design a series of custom aligners tailored to your treatment plan.

How do the Invisalign aligners straighten teeth?

Each set of aligners is worn for about 2 weeks before progressing to the next set. The aligners exert gentle, controlled pressure on specific teeth, gradually guiding them into their ideal positions. Over time, as you move through the series of aligners, your teeth will progressively shift to achieve the desired alignment. The aligners work by using little “buttons” attached to some teeth to get them into the ideal position.

How often do I need to wear the aligners?

To ensure the effectiveness of the treatment, it’s recommended to wear the aligners for 20-22 hours each day. Remove them only for eating, drinking (except for water), brushing, and flossing. Consistent wear is crucial for optimal results.
We also recommend maintaining good oral hygiene throughout your treatment, as aligners can trap plaque if teeth aren’t brushed before reinsertion.

Are there regular appointments during Invisalign treatment?

Yes, regular check-up appointments are scheduled to monitor your progress. Dr. Tinto will provide you with new sets of aligners and ensure that your teeth are shifting according to the treatment plan. These appointments allow for adjustments and guidance throughout the process.

What happens after the Invisalign treatment?

After completing the Invisalign treatment, Dr. Tinto will suggest some form of maintenance: either with a bonded permanent wire, removable retainers or a combination of both.  Retainers help maintain the new alignment of your teeth by preventing them from reverting to their original positions.

How much does Invisalign cost?

As each individual patient has unique issues, the cost for Invisalign varies from patient to patient. At Tinto Dentistry, prices can start from as low as $2500 but vary depending on the situation. Dr. Tinto will be able to help you with a customized treatment plan as well as let you know exactly how much treatment will cost and if your insurance has any coverage!

Are financing options available?

Yes! We have flexible financing options that include monthly payments with 0% interest.
