How quickly can I get an appointment for a dental emergency?

We prioritize dental emergencies and strive to provide same-day appointments. Contact our office immediately to discuss your situation and schedule an appointment. The fastest way is by phone but if it’s after 6 PM please send an email and Dr. Tinto will respond as soon as possible.

What should I do if I knock out a tooth?

If a tooth is knocked out and the tooth is dirty, rinse it briefly with milk or a saline solution. Do not use water, and do not scrub the tooth. Preserving any attached tissue fragments is essential the best success is if you can put it back in the socket. If not possible, keep it moist in milk or saliva. Contact us immediately for urgent care!

How can I manage severe toothache at home before my appointment?

Rinse your mouth with warm water, floss to remove debris, and take over-the-counter pain medication as directed. Please come in as soon as possible and Dr. Tinto will assess and prescribe treatment or medications as needed.

What should I do if I have a dental abscess or swelling?

Dental abscesses require immediate attention. Rinse your mouth with a mild saltwater solution, use a cold compress on the outside of the affected area, and contact us urgently for subsequent care.

Do you provide after-hours emergency dental care?

Yes, we have emergency dental services available outside regular office hours. After hours, please send us an email at Tintodentistry@gmail.com and Dr. Tinto will respond as soon as possible.

Can I walk in for emergency dental care, or do I need an appointment?

While we encourage you to call ahead, we understand emergencies happen. Walk-ins are welcome, but calling in advance allows us to prepare for your arrival.

What if I have a broken or chipped tooth?

Rinse your mouth with warm water and save any broken pieces. Use a cold compress on the outside of the affected area to reduce swelling. Contact us immediately for further guidance.

Does my dental insurance cover emergency dental services?

Most dental insurance plans cover emergency services. We will help you figure out coverage information or if a pre-determination is needed.
